City Mayor's Message

My new mandate in the recently concluded national synchronized elections means another golden opportunity to serve my constituents. And as I embark on my new three-year term in office my governance will give impetus to a 6-point program:

1. Affordable, accessible, quality education for our youth
2. Good Governance
3. Equal Access to social and economic opportunities
4. Nurture social and human development
5. Delivery of more and better social services
6. Active participation of civil society organizations in development efforts. These key programs will be the main thrust of my administration for the next three years as they are the pro-active conduits of sustainable development of Lucena.

Delivery of basic social services would be further enhanced to meet the more pressing and growing needs of our people. The growth of commerce, trade, industry and services will be sustained without jeopardizing the need of our people for a cleaner environment and a balanced ecosystem. On this, note our advocacy on maintaining a clean community, river resuscitation and year-round clean and green activites will continue and shall be strengthened through strict compliance to environmental laws and orders.

Finally, as I move on to another three-year working partnership with my constituents, non-government and people’s organizations, and government agencies, rest assured that each accomplishment my administration makes shall be reflective of the common good of every Lucenahin
